The National Meteorology Administration (ANM) has released a forecast for significant rainfalls, steep temperature drop, strong wind, snowfalls in the mountains valid for three days, starting on October 3, 23.00h until October 6, 23.00h.
According to ANM in western, central and northern territory, temporarily it will rain and locally the rainfalls will total more than 20 litres per square metre and on isolated areas 40-50 l / sq.m.
In the mountains, starting on Tuesday afternoon the rainfalls will turn into snow and sleet, mainly in the northern part of the country. On isolated areas and for short intervals snow and sleet will be registered in the Western Hills, in Maramures, northern and eastern Transylvania and in northern Moldavia.
Winds will reach speeds of 50-60 km/h mainly in western territories, south-western and in the mountains.
Temperatures will drop significantly in Carpathian regions and in the northern part of Moldavia as of Wednesday up to Thursday.
