Jan Garbarek, Trilok Gurtu and Lars Danielsson Quartet are among the artists to perform at the 7th edition of Bucharest Jazz Festival due in Bucharest on July 2-8.
ARCUB has revealed part of the line of this year’s edition, with Jan Garbarek, Trilok Gurtu, Lars Danielsson Quartet, Teodora Enache and The Prophet Band and Bucharest Jazz Orchestra feat Bluie Noise among those expected to perform. The festival will bring concerts and workshops for the audience, while the access will be free.
Jan Garbarek, a Grammy nominee artist, will perform in George Enescu Square, next to percussionist Trilok Gurtu, one of the headliners of the 2016 edition of the festival. Garbarek will perform in Bucharest on July 7, within a European tour.
Lars Danielsson will come to the Romanian capital on July 6. Nominated the year’s instrumentalist by ECHO Jazz three times, the Swedish double bassist will tread the boards next to drummer Magnus Ostrom, guitarist John Parricelli and French pianist Gregory Priva.
Exclusively for the this edition, the festival’s art manager Teodora Enache will perform next to the Brazilian percussionist Joca Perpignan, who performed one of the most acclaimed gigs at Bucharest Jazz Festival last year.
