The Insurance Supervisory Authority (ASF) has released a report on the average value of the damages to the civil liability insurance for car owners, depending on the insurant’s age, the location of the car registration and the horsepower engine.
The report revealed that the most dangerous drivers are the ones in Bucharest, Constanta and Iasi.
The frequency of the damage is 6.78% in the case of physical persons with cars registered in Bucharest, 6.40% for cars registered in Constanta and 6.27% for cars in Iasi during 2013-2015.
ASF report says that in Bucharest one of the reasons for the high frequency of the damage could be the traffic jam. Low frequency damages were reported in Harghita (2.84%), Covasna (3.15%) and Salaj (3.42%).
In the case of the legal persons, most of the damages were encountered on the cars registered in Cluj, Ilfov, Iaşi, Galaţi, Dolj (over 11%), and the least in Călăraşi, Caraş Severin, Botoşani, Harghita, Hunedoara, Covasna, Sălaj (ranging from 6% to 7%).
The average county value of the damage for a physical person ranged from RON 4,000-5,000 (Argeş, Bucharest, Cluj, Sibiu) to RON 9,000- 10,000 (Salaj and Suceava).
The report also showed that the powerful engine cars have caused most of the civil liability insurance damages.
