World Gymnastics Championships: Marian Dragulescu takes silver medal

Romanian gymnast Marian Dragulescu has won the silver medal in the vault event in Glasgow on Sunday, with 15,400 points, at the gymnastics World Championships.
The gold medal was won by the North Korean Ri Se-Gwang, with 15,450 points, while the American Donnell Whittenburg won the bronze with 15.350 points.
This is the second medal achieved by the Romanian delegation in the competition in Scotland, after Larisa Iordache’s bronze in the all-round women’s event.
Marian Dragulescu, retired after the 2012 Olympics in London, returned to competition earlier this year, with a expressed wish to participate in the 2016 Olympics, and his performance in Glasgow ensures him the presence in Rio de Janeiro next year.
