Dmitry Rogozin accuses Moldova’s government of being pro-Romanian and pro-fascist

Russian deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Rogozin has accused the government in Chisinau of being pro-Romanian and pro-fascist and claims the ban to fly over Romania was “a crime that Chisinau and Bucharest committed.”

“My analysis says that Romania and the Moldovan governance, pro-Romanian and pro-fascist, have decided with impertinence to be in line with the American policy, which involves Rusophobia, idiocy, sanctions and wild statements,” Rogozin said in an interview granted to ROSSIA-1 and quoted by deschide.md.

He expressed concern about the poor development of Russian-Moldovan relations, which could reignite the conflict in Transdnestria.

“There is positioned our military contingent, guarding the arms warehouse of the former Soviet 14^th Army. Secondly, our pacificators are there, about 450 people. Meanwhile, Moldova constantly lays obstacles in regard to the military rotation in Transdnestria,” he said.

Dmitry Rogozin is Russia’s special representative for Transdnestria, although he is banned of flying in Romanian airspace and the Moldovan government declared him persona non grata in R. of Moldova, in spite of the protests by the pro-Russian Moldovan President Igor Dodon.

Russian Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Rogozin was declared persona non grata in the Republic of Moldova by a Government decision last week, shortly after the Russian official had declared his willingness to come to Chisinau in September, if the Moldovan authorities would offer him security guarantees and the right to fly in the airspace of all transit countries.

The Russian Foreign Ministry summoned the Moldovan ambassador over the government’s decision to declare Russian Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Rogozin persona non-grata.

Romanian authorities prevented a plane having on board Russian Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Rogozin, en route to Chisinau, from flying over the county’s territory ten days ago. It was a civilian plane having onboard a Russian delegation to R. of Moldova for talks with President Igor Dodon.

Romania refused the entry of Russian S7 carrier plane into its airspace because Russian Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Rogozin, who is on the EU sanctions list, was on board.
