Three people have been killed, including a court judge and other two have been injured after a gunman opened fire in Milan’s Palace of Justice on Thursday, officials said.
The gunman is reportedly a defendant in a bankruptcy case, Italian press cited police as saying. The suspect, identified as Claudio Giardiello was caught by carabinners in Vimercate, a town located near by Milan.
The judge Fernando Ciampi, who has been dealing with bankruptcy case, has been shot to death in his office at the second floor of the court. The second person who has been killed is lawyer Lorenzo Alberto Claris Appiani, Corriere della Sera reports.
