BCR Lists New Bond, Totaling RON 8.8 Billion on Bucharest Stock Exchange

A new bond issue worth 1 billion lei, issued by the Romanian Commercial Bank (BCR), started trading today on the Bucharest Stock Exchange (BVB). BCR29 is the tenth bond issue listed on the stock exchange by the bank, in the last 4 years the amount of all the issues thus totaling RON 8.8 billion.

The issue consists of non-preferential senior bonds with 6 year maturity. The bonds obtained a long-term rating of BBB+ from Fitch and Baa2 from Moody’s. BCR has issued 2,000 shares of nominal value 500,000 RON, at fixed interest rate 7.55%.

The bond issue started on the stock exchange today is the tenth issue listed by BCR with the BVB in the past 4 years. The first bond issue by BCR has matured, with currently 9 corporate and green issues having been traded to date. The second bond issue by the bank, worth 600 million lei, has been trading since December 2019.
