Enache Jiru, appointed adviser to BNR Governor Mugur Isarescu

The former State Secretary with the Ministry of Finance, Enache Jiru, has been appointed, a month ago, as adviser to the Governor of the National Bank of Romania, Mugur Isarescu, the spokesman for the institution, Dan Suciu, has announced.

Enache Jiru was appointed State Secretary with the Ministry of Finance in 2012 and was released from office in the autumn of last year.

He also worked with the National Bank during 1991-1997, in several positions, including as Chief Arbitrator.

During 2004-2005, Enache Jiru was president of the CEC. In 2014, the then Prime Minister Victor Ponta said on private television that Enache Jiru could replace Radu Ghetea at CEC Bank.
