PLUS leader Ciolos challenges Dragnea to provide affidavits for PSD leaders proving they did not collaborate with the Securitate political police

PLUS chairman Dacian Ciolos has stated in Buzau on Sunday that he would like to see Liviu Dragnea, the PSD head, provide affidavits of the party leadership proving they were did not collaborate with the former communist political police, Securitate, or that they did not collaborate with intelligence services from Romania or from abroad, or otherwise, his accusations is just „small talk”. Ciolos is referring to the PSD’s accusations that PLUS would be the party of the intelligence officers.

Liviu Dragnea, Sebastian Ghiţă, and the others who are touring intelligence services won’t find another excuse than to accuse others of what they are actually doing. First of all, I want to see from Liviu Dragnea affidavits from all the PSD leadership to prove they were did not collaborate with the former communist political police, Securitate, or that they did not collaborate with intelligence services from Romania or from abroad. All in the PLUS leadership have done this, with me first, and they should do the same,” Ciolos told a press conference.

In his view, all that PSD and Dragnea have done since they came to power was to attack the Romanian state in order to solve their own problems. „Romania starts being more and more a state controlled by one party. I want Liviu Dragnea show me where is the welfare in the Romanians’ pockets and in which hand has been the Romanians’ pocket for over a year. The fact that Dragnea is visiting only southern country where he is hiding and his Praetorian guard is watching him, for he has not courage to come out in the public square before Romanians, proves the condition of Dragnea at the helm of PSD,” Ciolos also pointed out.

He attacked Dragnea’s latest accusations against EU.

Dragnea doesn’t actually know what he wants, he either is European, or he wants a little corner for Romania. He will have his own little corner later on, for the time being we must see what to do to stop this plague that is bankrupting Romania. Our priority are the Romanians who believe that Romania can be dignified in the EU,” Ciolos concluded.
