Simple motion against Justice Minister postponed for the third time

The simple motion against Justice Minister Tudorel Toader has been postponed again on Monday. This is the third time the Senators make this decision.

The decision was made by the Standing Bureau. Most likely, the plenary lacked quorum. The simple motion against the Minister of Finance has also been postponed, according to Digi24 TV private broadcaster.

The motion that concerns Tudorel Toader would be debated on May 6.

Asked whether he has considered resigning, the minister said: “Any option is possible. I will remain with the ministry until another Minister is appointed and his name is published by the Official Gazette.”

The simple motion against Justice Minister Tudorel Toader, initiated by PNL and USR, was postponed last Wednesday for the second time. The motion, initiated in the Senate, is titled ‘Justice, victim in Toader’s hands’. The postponement came following the lack of quorum. Minister Tudorel Toader was present in the plenary hall and waited for the Senators about 15 minutes. The plenary session was attended by 44 Senators, compared to at least 69 needed. A similar situation took place last Monday.
