CSM Bucharest presents women’s and men’s handball teams for the new season in friendly matches

CSM Bucharest women’s team has played a friendly match in Bucharest against Rostov on Don to present the team for the coming season, part of the event called CSM Bucharest Handball Fest. The match ended in a draw 25-25 (12-15) although the Russian team took the lead from the very start.

Cristina Neagu (photo) was also presented and has scored six goals in the second half.

Handball player Cristina Varzaru has officially withdrawn from sports on this occasion.

The men’s team has also played a friendly match to present the new line-up, and the guests were none others than FC Barcelona. The Spanish team won 33-26 (16-15).

CSM Bucharest, coached by Spaniard Pablo Campos Sunen wants to win domestic trophies this season and to have a long season in the EHF Cup. New players brought to the team are: two Spanish athletes Alexander Tioumentsev and Antonio Garcia Robledo (former Barcelona player), Sunjic (Croatia), Hrastnik (Slovenia).
