Romania –vs. The Netherlands friendly match on Tuesday in Bucharest, the last one in 2017 for the national team

Romania’s national football team is to play the last match in 2017, a friendly match against the Netherlands. Now, the Dutch are, like us, during reconstruction. The match will be played on Tuesday, November 14, at 21:00h on the National Arena, digisport.ro informs.

The Dutch failed to qualify to the second final tournament in a row, after not being able to qualify for the Euro 2016. Coach Dick Advocaat has arrived to Bucharest with major players such as Sneijder, Depay, Blind, Babel or Strootman.

The Netherlands has been Romania’s nightmare in the past 20 years, a team that has scored 10 goals only in the latest three matches, is therefore an important opportunity for Coach Cosmin Contra to completely re-initiate a first representative that seemed completely out of touch after Coach Christoph Daum’s mandate. And this is supported by Contra’s statements.

“I’ve brought many new players. I want by the time the League of Nations starts to know clearly who I count on. We still have two windows in which I will see some more players. I’m trying to keep the players that played against Turkey and to see others. Sapunaru did not recover after the match with Turkey, and he did not train with the other boys. Tătaruşanu is also uncertain, his back hurts,” Contra said.
