Total revenues of the population up by 8.73 pc to RON 2.713/household in Q3 2015. Expenses on food and soft drinks – 37.6 pc of consumption

The total revenues of the population, as monthly average per household, were of RON 2.713 in the third quarter of 2015, by 8.73% higher as compared to the same period last year, a press release from the National Statistics Institute (INS) issued on Friday reads.
Regarding expenditures, they increased by 2.88% on the same interval, reaching RON 2,351 per month/household.
The total expenditures of the population were in Q3 2015 on average of RON 2,351 per month per household (RON 886 per person) and represented 86.7% of total income. The money income was an average of RON 2,430 per month per household (RON 916 per person) and the incomes in kind of RON 283 per month per household (RON 107 per person).
Salaries and other related incomes constituted the most important source of revenue (57.6% of the total household income).
According to the standard classification of the consumption expenditures by destinations (COICOP), food and soft drinks roughly held in the third quarter 2015 on average 37.6% of the household consumption, while 8.1% was spent on alcoholic beverages and cigarettes, the release reads.
