New CEO for AFI Europe Romania

AFI Europe Romania, a leading real estate and investments company, present in Romania since 2005, has announced the appointment of a new CEO as of July this year. Israeli  Doron Klein, who has led operations of AFI Europe in the Czech Republic, will thus become the new CEO of AFI Europe Romania, replacing David Hay, who has been the CEO in the past 7 years. In March this year, Hay announced his resignation and his intention to continue his professional path apart of the company.

The new CEO Doron Klein has a 15-year experience on the real estate market in several countries in Central and Eastern Europe. He joined AFI Europe in 2008 and has been CEO for operations in the Czech Republic since 2011 and he will continue to hold this position as well.

Doron Klein has an MBA at the New York University in Prague and he speaks fluently Hebrew, English and Czech.

In Romania, Doron Klein will work with a team of over 130 people and will run the company’s operations.

According to a press release of the company, AFI Europe registers the most solid operations and the best results in Romania out of all the markets where it is operating. AFI Europe is running projects including commercial centers, office buildings, residential and mix real estate projects.

Avi Barzilay, CEO AFI Europe thanked the previous CEO David Hay for his entire activity in Romania and wished good luck to his successor, Doron Klein, voicing his confidence the operations in Romania will continue to report positive results under his helm.

In his turn, Doron Klein stated that the new position  is an honour but also a huge responsibility, pledging to focus on delivering the right solutions for the communities AFI Europe is addressing in Romania.
