Alin Burcea returns to ANAT helm

Alin Burcea, owner and general manager of Paralela 45 travel agency, is appointed the new president of the National Association of Travel Agencies (ANAT) for 2016-2018, following the General Meeting of Agency’s members from May 20, a press release informs.

He actually returns to ANAT’s management, which he founded 26 years ago, along with five other entrepreneurs in tourism, and led it during 1991-1993 period.

Alin Burcea was State Secretary in the Ministry of Tourism in 2001-2002 and has an experience of over 30 years in tourism.

His management program for ANAT for the next two years aims at solving problems, with which travel agencies confront for a long time.

“We have to find the right solution for the Romanian insurance market of travel agencies in case of insolvency and bankruptcy. Tourist contract, recently approved, still requires discussions. At the same time, holiday vouchers must be also applied after passing the law, for which ANAT management has struggled for 11 years,” ANAT new president stated.
