Investments of over EUR 25 M in 10 years since New Kopel operates in Romania

New Kopel, one of the leading players in the Romanian automotive industry, and part of Shlomo Israeli Group, celebrates 10 years of presence on the Romanian market with 3000 cars in its Operational Leasing fleet, 300 corporate customers & SMEs and over EUR 25 million investments.

According to New Kopel officials, the group will put in the center of the development strategy for the next period two of the main engines of the economy: SMEs and middle class customers.

“At 10 years of activity, we consider Romania a perspective market, where it deserves to be present and to make investments,” Hezi Shayb, CEO New Kopel Group said Thursday in a press conference.

He continued: “Romania has a huge growth potential and the industry in which we operate is on an upward trend due to good economic outlook. Earlier this year, together with the founders of the group, we put into practice a new business philosophy – ‘Always Yes’, which focuses on our ability to offer each customer the right solution, not just selling a car.”

New Kopel ended last year with turnover of EUR 12.8 million.

According to Shayb, New Kopel has about 6 percent of the operational leasing market, being among the top seven players in the field. The top three areas are distribution, manufacturing and IT.

Shlomo Group, a family business founded in Israel in 1974 which started with a rented car, is one the strongest holding companies in Israel. In 2014, the assets of the group exceeded EUR 1.5 billion, while the turnover exceeded EUR 1.3 billion. Shlomo Group has a 25 percent market share in the corporate operational leasing and over 33 percent market share in the private segment. The Group manages 65,000 cars in operational leasing.
