Israeli’s New Kopel launches First Second-Hand Car programme

New Kopel, one of the leading players in the Romanian automotive industry, and part of Shlomo Israeli Group, comes with an offer as an alternative to the First Car (Prima Masina) national programme. It’s about First Second-Hand Car, which is also addressing to lower income segment, is available from Friday, June 19, with or without credit.

According to NK officials, the programme is accessible to everyone who wants a car, but does not have the budget for a new one. First SH Car can be bought in maximum 36 rates, at an interest rate of 4,5 percent. The lender partner in this programme is Idea Leasing, former Volksbank Leasing.

“53.4 percent of Romanians want to buy a car in the upcoming period, 63 percent of them want to take a used car and 37 percent want to buy a new one,” Hezi Shayb, CEO New Kopel Group said Thursday in a press conference, quoting data from a NK survey. According to him, the most requested cars are German brand.

He said the biggest problem of the company for the moment is the supply with second-hand cars to be sold to future customers, given the huge demand.

“We take cars from our operational leasing or rented fleet. The current prices are low compared to other countries, most Romanians are willing to offer between EUR 3,000 and EUR 10,000 for a car,” Shayb added.

Also, New Kopel launched today an offer through which Romanians can rent cars in weekends from EUR 9.9/day.

I started my way in life with the intention to pursue a teaching career. But, after graduating from the Faculty of Letters – the University of Bucharest in 2004, my first job as a reporter at one of the leading newspapers in Romania changed my perspective.
