PM Cioloș at the European Council, meets EU bodies’ leaders and visits the ‘Colectiv’ injured

PM Dacian Cioloș is attending the winter European Council in Brussels on Thursday and Friday. The summit is due to tackle migration topic and EU’s response to terrorism after the Paris terror attacks.

The Romanian premier will meet the High Representative of the Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Federica Mogherini and EP president Martin Schulz on Thursday afternoon and will attend the first working session of the European Council and a working dinner later on in the day.

The prime minister will meet the EC first vice-president Frans Timmermans on Friday morning and will attend the second working session of the summit.

While in Brussels, PM Ciolos will also go the Reine Astrid Bruxelles hospital to visit the Romanian youngsters injured in the Colectiv fire and who are admitted there.

The premier got the Parliament’ European affairs committees’ green light to attend the European Council last week, after President Iohannis delegated him to go.
