The anti-asteroid cannon, anti-insomnia patches or the lucerne chocolate, the latest Romanian inventions

One can reproach Romanians with many things, less on not being inventive though. The ongoing international invention salon in Cluj is a clear proof of that, with Romanian researchers queuing to present their inventions: jewels turning into medical devices, patches curing insomnia or even a cannon to protect the Earth from asteroids.

The anti-asteroid cannon has been already patented. Its inventor, Horatiu Serbescu, says that the device is not only for prevention, but ot also charge satellites with energy.

It captures the sunbeams and through the reflexion process parallel sun waves are created, getting through this light guide towards a sphere in order to melt it down or deviate it from its collision track with the Earth,” the inventor explained to Digi24.

Another local researcher created the jewels that can turn into medical devices. For instance, a pair of earrings was made to stimulate the energy centres responsible for eyes.

The inventor explains that the silver earrings are in fact a transmitter-receiver electronic device put on the ear’s lap through a clip system that enables an improvement of the energy circulation in the eye.

Another novelty released during the invention salon in Cluj is the device curing the insomnia. Inventor Marian Velcea says that the device aims at reducing the drug consumption for this affection and at balancing the body through its own powers.

Another inventor from Timisoara presented the device disinfecting money. The device consists of a stainless steel safe, an UV lamp with ozone emission and automatic block.

There were even food-related inventions in Cluj: a healthier type of chocolate, such as the lucerne one, the fruit elixir or the acacia flower jelly.
