Romanian tennis player, Simona Halep, 1st WTA, has announced on Tuesday she withdraws from the Kremlin Cup tournament. She was diagnosed with herniated disk two weeks ago and has struggled since to regain health and form to take part to the tournament in Moscow and to the Singapore WTA Finals, digi24.ro reports.

Halep should have played in round 2 against Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova (Russia). The Romanian player will be replaced by Valentini Grammatikoulou (Greece).

In a press conference in Moscow, Simona Halep said she is concerned about the injured back and she is not certain about taking part to the WTA Finals in Singapore.
