Unemployment rate, slight decrease last year’s November to 617,000 persons

In November 2014, the seasonally adjusted unemployment rate was estimated at 6.5 percent, decreasing by 0.2 percentage points as compared with the previous month, and by 0.6 percentage points as against the level recorded in the same month of the previous year, National Institute of Statistics (INS) data show.
The number of unemployed (aged 15-74 years) estimated for last year’s November is 617,000 persons, decreasing as compared to the previous month (620,000 persons) as well as against the same month of the previous year (651,000 persons).
According to the breakdown by gender, men’s unemployment rate is with 1.1 percentage points higher than that of women (the values concerned are 7 percent for men and 5.9 percent for women), INS also notes.
The unemployment rate of adult persons (aged 25-74 years) was estimated at 5.2 percent for November 2014 (5.6 percent in the case of men and 4.7 percent in that of women’s).
The number of unemployed aged 25-74 years accounts for 73.7 percent of the total number of unemployed estimated for November 2014.
