Volleyball, European Silver League: Romania defeats Greece 3-2

The men’s national volleyball team of Romania defeated Greece 3-2 (20-25, 30-28, 20-25, 25-23, 15-10) Wednesday night at Rentis, in the first leg of the final the European Silver League competition.

Romania, who came back after being led twice, won in two hours and 24 minutes.

Ciprian Matei managed 17 points, Rareş Bălean 16 and Cristian Barta 12.

The hosts best scorers were Nikos Zoupani, 27 points, Andreas-Dimitrios Fragkos, 19 points.

The return match will take place in Alexandria, on Sunday.
