Gov’t to borrow EUR 450m from the European Investment Bank

The Romanian Government will contract a loan of EUR 450 million from the European Investment Bank (EIB) to co-finance the projects supported by European funds through the National Programme for Rural development (PNDR) 2014-2020, Prime Minister Viorica Dancila said at the beginning of the Government sitting on Wednesday.

“We have on the agenda the contracting of a loan from the European Investment Bank amounting to EUR 450 million. The funds are to ensure the funding of the projects supported by European funds, through the National Programme for Rural Development 2014-2020,” Premier Viorica Dancila said, according to digi24.ro.

The same source said the loan has been negotiated with the support of the Ministry of Public Finances.
