Psychotherapist Diana Vasile, together with specialists from the Institute for the Study and Treatment of Trauma (ISTT), launches Addezia, a company offering mental and emotional health services dedicated to the corporate sector.

Addezia was founded as a result of the growing need for companies to create healthy working environments that contribute to organizational performance.

“Prioritizing employee health is a global trend that has gained momentum in Romania, especially in recent years. Through Addezia’s services, we contribute to companies’ efforts to achieve their performance goals by increasing the quality of the relationship between employees, and to produce a positive change in the professional and personal life of each team member,” says Diana Vasile, co-founder of Addezia.

With the pandemic and its effects, companies have become increasingly aware of the need to address the mental health of their employees. According to a study conducted by McKinsey in 2022, in 15 countries, about 60% of employees have experienced at least one mental health challenge at some point in their lives. For leaders, this means that most of their employees are directly or indirectly affected by mental health challenges. Individuals affected by mental health challenges cannot be excluded or treated separately from the workforce; they are the workforce.

Addezia aims to support companies in creating a healthy work environment by improving the mental and emotional health of all employees in order to have productive, creative teams, and better business results

The Addezia team is composed of: Diana Vasile, president and one of the most prominent specialists in psychology and psychotraumatology in Romania; Adriana Gontariu, psychologist, with over 25 years of experience in human resources and Adina Hellen Stanca, manager of ISTT and psychotherapist.

“Based on our experience, reinforced by studies, psychological safety is the ingredient for performance, innovation, and creativity in the workplace. It is the responsibility of companies to create healthy work environments and address the psychological needs of their employees, and Addezia stands by them throughout this process, with the right interventions,” says Adriana Gontariu, General Manager of Addezia.

The services offered by Addezia are based on scientifically validated concepts and address:

  • Psychological safety (the main indicator of a healthy work environment, which significantly influences how team members learn, work, and perform together). Using the methodology developed by Amy Edmondson, professor at Harvard Business School, companies can measure the level of psychological safety felt by teams. With the help of Addezia’s specialists, they can interpret the results and build an action plan with solutions to develop the skills needed for a healthy work environment that fosters innovation and progress, namely healthy working environment.
  • Mental and emotional health in the workplace: workshops, training sessions, and interventions targeting mental and emotional health awareness, stigma reduction, skills development for managing challenges, as well as solutions for approaching toxic behaviours and increasing resilience.
