Dana Constantinescu, the first Romanian appointed to run GSK Romania

As of April 1, 2018, Dana Constantinescu will become the first Romanian to be appointed as General Manager of GSK Romania, a press release informs.

Promoted from Corporate Affairs, Communication and Vaccines Director, she is replacing Brazilian-born Andre Vivan da Silva who took over a new position from the beginning of this year as Vice President & Cluster Area Director of South Eastern Europe within the same group.

With a 20-year experience at GSK, Dana Constantinescu aims to increase patient access to group’s innovative medicines and vaccines in Romania, to continue developing ethically and socially responsible business, and to align the local strategy with that of the GSK.

32 Romanians from GSK Romania have been promoted to regional or group positions at GSK Global so far, the company focusing on personal development based on meeting the highest ethical and performance standards.

Graduate of Carol Davila University of Medicine and Pharmacy in Bucharest, Dana Constantinescu has experience both in the medical field, as a doctor and in the pharmaceutical industry.
