Launch Health Tech grows into a complex initiative for Health Tech entrepreneurship in CEE

Launch Health Tech brought together yesterday, October 3, in Bucharest, some of the most important players in the Health Tech ecosystem in Central and Eastern Europe. Launch Community aims to grow this initiative into the region’s premier matchmaking and support network for medical tech entrepreneurs.

The second edition of the flagship event for the healthcare technology community, Launch Health Tech happened yesterday, on October 3rd. The presentations and networking sessions were attended by some of the most active entrepreneurs, investors, public actors and media representatives from Central and Eastern Europe.

The purpose of the event was to take the pulse of the regional ecosystem and to facilitate collaboration between the public and private environment, access to financing, and to support the development of new technologies.

The list of speakers at Launch Health Tech Ed. 2 included both founders, who emphasised the importance of personalised health solutions, as well as investors, who discussed Health Tech trends and market evolution: Maya Zlatanova (CEO TrialHub & FindMeCure), Elina Halatcheva (Managing Partner BrightCap VC), Stephen Burke (Co-Founder & CEO Kardi AI), Ciprian Amariței (Design Thinking Facilitator Health Innovation Zone by Digital Innovation Zone), Marta Mrozowicz (Investment Manager Heal Capital),  Jan Vichr (Co-Founder Folk), Lucian Paraschiv (Founder MedStarter Hub), Sebastian Gabor (Co-Founder & CEO Digitail) & Ruxandra Pui (Co-Founder & CPO Digitail).

The need for this type of initiatives for the HealthTech environment was validated, so Launch Health Tech turns into a real community for startups, funds and partners.

Thus, in 2024, Launch Health Tech will consist of a series of regional events as well as funding opportunities. In May 2024, a delegation of approximately 30 people from Wharton will arrive in Romania to explore the HealthTech ecosystem in Romania, especially startups to invest in. Launch Health Tech will be actively involved in selecting 10 startups with ambitious USA expansion plans to pitch to investors.

Launch Health Tech 2nd Edition was organised by Launch Community, in partnership with MedStarter Hub and with the support of HealthFluencer and it was part of a series of side events happening before the How to Web conference that starts today, October 4th.
