Ex-president Basescu to write memoir book

Former president Traian Basescu unveiled his intention to write a memoir book during intervention at TV station.
“I will give you to read the book about me when I finish it and then you’ll see the truth,” the ex-president told B1TV on Sunday night.
Basescu also retorted to his former adviser Adriana Saftoiu who wrote a book about her experience at Cotroceni Palace, where she also disclosed some backstage details and presented President Basescu in an unflattering manner.
“There is no politician to lay a charge at my door that in my 20-year experience in politics, and during my ten-year term as president, I have had any secret dealing with some political party or person. I brought all my agreements into the open,” Basescu stated.
Right after Adriana Saftoiu launched her book, Basescu replied that she broke the European diplomacy rules when she wrongly presented some talks with foreign officials. Moreover, the former Romanian president had to belie several insinuations in the book related to his alleged relationship with Elena Udrea.
