Ludovic Orban wants the Liberals from ALDE in PNL

The new chairman of the National Liberal Party (PNL), Ludovic Orban has stated in Iasi on Friday that his party is ready to take over ruling any time, revealing he will talk to the Liberald from ALDE for he wants them in PNL.

Orban said that PNL would fight any government that contains PSD in it if President Klaus Iohannis didn’t nominate a Liberal for the PM position.

“Of course, we want to join ruling on the front door and not through backstage negotiations that might prevent us from enforcing the ruling programme. We’ll have exploratory discussions with all political actors. What is definite is that we won’t negotiate with PSD. In case a PNL candidate is not nominated we’ll vote against any government that will contain PSD,” Orban stated.

The Liberal chair explained that PNL needs at least half of the ALDE MPs in order to set up a parliamentary majority mandatory for a PNL government.

“Of course, it’s less probable that Tariceanu straggles from Dragnea. I see that lately he has been stuck to Dragnea like a stamp to the letter, the same way he once was to Ponta. I suggest Mr. Tariceanu to directly join PSD and let the Liberals come to the National Liberal Party. I will talk to the Liberal MPs who left and joined ALDE. I want all Liberals in PNL,” he argued.
