Yulia Navalnya gave an emotional speech today, with tears in her eyes, in front of the European Parliament, which commemorated the life of the Russian dissident Alexei Navalny, who died this month in a prison colony in Russia.

Navalnya said her husband was tortured for three years and killed on the orders of Vladimir Putin, who she said was “not a politician but a bloody monster”. Putin is capable of anything, you can’t negotiate with him,” said Navalnaia, who was applauded for minutes by MEPs.

Very emotional, Navalnaya held her speech in English.

“My husband will not see what the beautiful Russia of the future will look like, but we must be able to see it. And I will do everything I can to make his dream come true, for the evil to fall apart and for this beautiful future to come. Putin must answer for what he did to Russia, to Ukraine and to Navalny You must investigate the lawyers and bankers who help Putin and his allies hide their money You are not dealing with a politician, but with a bloody monster. If you want to beat Putin, you have to be innovative, you can’t hurt him with resolutions or sanctions Putin is the leader of an organized crime group. There are poisoners and assassins in it, but they are all just puppets. The most important thing is the people close to Putin, friends, associates and keepers of the mafia money. I don’t know if Alexei Navalny’s funeral will be peaceful, or if the police will make arrests On Putin’s orders, Alexei was tortured for three years. Putin killed my husband. Alexei’s body was abused. Putin is capable of anything, you can’t negotiate with him. I am here now because your constituents have an important question. They ask you and then they ask me. The question is: “How can I help you in your struggle?”.

Also on Wednesday, a former spokeswoman for Navalny, Kira Yarmysh, announced that he would be buried on Friday at the Borisovskoye cemetery and that the ceremony would take place at the Church of the Icon of the Mother of God in Moscow’s Maryino district.

The team of the Russian dissident Alexei Navalny denounced on Tuesday obstacles to the organization of the politician’s funeral so that his supporters could say goodbye to him in Moscow.
Since yesterday (Monday), we have been looking for a space to organize the farewell ceremony for Alexei”, Navalny’s spokeswoman, Kira Iarmîş, said on the “X” platform, adding that the opposition’s allies called “most of the funeral homes“, both public and private in the capital, but none of them agreed to give them a place to deposit his coffin.
The Kremlin on Monday described as “absurd” allegations that Russian authorities pressured Alexei Navalny’s mother over the funeral of the Russian dissident, and claimed that President Vladimir Putin was not involved in decisions regarding the handing over of Navalny’s body to the family.
Navalny’s allies said on Monday that the opponent died in prison days before he was exchanged for Vadim Krasikov, who was in the service of the FSB (Federal Security Service, ex-KGB) and was convicted in Germany of killing a former Chechen commander .
