An NGO has filed a criminal complaint against Social Democrat leader Florin Iordache, deputy speaker of the Chamber of Deputies for his obscene gesture made in Parliament the past days.
“Voice for Democracy and Justice” Association has also filed a complaint to the Police.
“Voice for Democracy and Justice Association is filing a complaint to the Police 17 precinct within the District 5 Police against deputy Florin Iordache, a dignitary who made obscene gestures against participants in the plenary sitting of the Romanian Parliament.
We consider that Romania’s Parliament must not be anything else but a space to debate and argue some public policies, to adopt good and constitutional laws for the country, to observe the assumed international commitments and to prove respect for the Romanian citizens who are represented by these dignitaries, and a not a place of indecent conducts,” the NGO argued.
PSD vice-president Florin Iordache has raised both his middle fingers in a defying gesture to the Opposition lawmakers while addressing the Opposition in Parliament on Wednesday following a speech in the plenary sitting about the country and the justice independence. The incident has been also reported by the foreign media.
