More than half of employees in Bucharest’s office spaces spend 30 to 60 minutes stuck in traffic every day, study says

Most employees who work in office spaces in Bucharest (55%) are spending 30 to 60 minutes stuck in traffic on their way from home to the office on a daily basis, reads a survey conducted by CBRE on the importance of working environment in the employees’ activity.

The research has included 500 employees who are working in the office space area in the Capital city, divided into four age groups: Z generation (aged 18 to 24), Y generation (aged 25-34), X generation (aged 35-49) and baby boomers (aged 50-64).

The highest level of satisfaction on the office is related to the easy access to the transportation means (76%), other important aspects related to the interior design of the office refer to the ergonomic furniture (82%), proper spaces to have lunch (78%) and individual offices (72%).

The respondents are working in offices located in various areas in Bucharest: 26% in the western part, 22% in the north, 22% downtown, 14% in Pipera, 11%  in Victoriei-Charles de Gaulle Square area, 5% in the east and 3% in the south.

As for the field of activity, 23% are in the IT, 20% in outsourcing, 11%-finance and insurance, 9% in retail and the rest of 27% are in business, public sector, industrial production or energy.

Z generation respondents consider that the personal life is a major condition in choosing a job (68%), Y generation (47%), X generation and baby boomers (35% each).
