Five Romanians were injured and three died in an accident that occurred on Saturday night in the Veliko Tarnovo region in Bulgaria. Four helicopters were sent to bring the wounded Romanians to the country.
The eight were traveling with a bus registered in Romania, on board of which there were 26 passengers, according to the Romanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Seven were Turkish citizens, and the rest were Romanian. The accident occurred between Kutsina and Polikraishte.
According to the Bulgarian media, the coach missed the turn near the village of Kutsina and hit a stopped car, registered in Veliko Tarnovo. The coach then hit the right side and a tree on the side of the road.
The patients admitted to the Floreasca Hospital following the road accident that occurred on Saturday night in Bulgaria are conscious and cooperative, stated, on Monday, the Minister of Health, Alexandru Rafila, who paid a visit to the medical unit. “They need to be rebalanced from a psychological point of view as well. The hospital psychologist, I think, talked to them. The shock is great when such an accident happens, especially since some even lost their relatives in this accident”, the Health minister said,
