Inflation falls to 6.7% in November

The rate at which prices increase was decreasing in November, 6.7% from 8.1% as it had been a month before. Airline tickets, detergents, sanitation and postal services were among the most expensive, according to the latest data issued by the National Institute of Statistics (INS) today.

The consumer price index in November 2023 compared to October 2023 is 99.99%. The annual inflation rate in November 2023 compared to November 2022 is 6.7%, while the inflation rate since the beginning of the year (November 2023 compared to December 2022) is 6.3%.

The average rate of change in consumer prices over the last 12 months (December 2022-November 2023) as
compared to the previous 12 months (December 2021-November 2022) is 11.2%.

Overall, in November food became cheaper by -0.16% compared to October, but prices remained higher by +5.5% compared to the beginning of the year.For non-food products, prices fell in November by -0.07% compared to October, but are higher by +5.4% compared to December 2022. Services went up by +0.4% in November compared to October, and by +10% compared to the beginning of the year
