RON falls to record low vs. USD, recovers vs. Swiss franc

The national currency has depreciated on Tuesday against the US Dollar to 4.2499 units, according to the reference exchange rate from the National Bank of Romania (BNR). On Monday the exchange rate was RON 4.2371 per USD. On April 21, 2017 the rate was 4.2456 units per USD.
RON has slightly appreciated against the European single currency to 4.7614 units, up from 4.7625 units on Monday.
The national currency has also slightly recovered against the Swiss franc, up to RON 4.2533 per CHF, up from RON 4.2635 per CHF in the previous session.
