Online betting platform Betano.com officially enters Romanian market

Betano.com online betting platform has officially launched in Romania, a press release informs. Sports betting market leader in Greece and Cyprus (under Stoiximan brand), the company offers top products on the domestic market, live broadcasts of sporting competitions and live casino, as well as high quality services for its members.

The players have access to over 4,500 international and local top sports leagues and can bet on 35 types of sports and activities that take place anywhere in the world, from football matches to X Factor or DOTA 2 games.

“We have a long-term investment plan in Romania, and our goal is to position Betano as a top and trusted brand in the local market. We don’t want just to bring our product in a version translated for the market in Romania, as most of the operators do, but we want to provide an experience tailored to Romanians’ needs and preferences, both as product and service,” Panos Konstantopoulos, Chief Marketing Officer Stoiximan & Betano.com said.

The members can opt for special bets, such as forecasts of the most popular TV series or the presidential election results.

Customer support service in Romanian is available at any time to provide information to members via email, live chat or call-back phone service.

Regionally, the company has 160 employees (of whom 10 percent are Romanian associates) and estimates that it will expand to 200 employees by the year-end.

I started my way in life with the intention to pursue a teaching career. But, after graduating from the Faculty of Letters – the University of Bucharest in 2004, my first job as a reporter at one of the leading newspapers in Romania changed my perspective. I have specialized in communication and communication campaigns, following the Master's courses at the Faculty of Journalism and Communication Studies (FJSC), attending a BBC Communications scholarship.
I’ve represented several important publications in Romania as business journalist, being accredited in the finance and banking field. In 2015, I had the opportunity to interview the International Monetary Fund (IMF) Mission Chief for Romania, Andrea Schaechter. As business journalist, I also had the opportunity to interview ministers for Economics and Commercial
Affairs offices within different embassies in Romania or officials of large companies investing on the domestic market.
After almost 15 years of journalism, I still want to explore new ways, to inform and stay updated. That’s why The Romania Journal project fits me so well.
Today I describe myself as a passionate about the history of world culture, having a PhD in Hebrew Culture and Civilization, after a scholarship at the University of Haifa International School, as a language addict, an environmental activist, pet lover and traveler.
