One of the amendments submitted by the PSD-PNL for the draft fiscal measures, on which the Government will assume the response, provides for a 25-fold increase in the royalty paid for the gas transport concession, from 0.4% to 10%. The monopoly on gas transportation is held by Transgaz, which means that it will be the only company to pay this increased royalty.

Gas transportation is a regulated activity and the increase in royalties will also lead to an increase in the cost, which will further be reflected in the final gas tariffs.

That is, the National Energy Regulatory Authority (ANRE) is obliged to recognize such additional costs when setting gas transport tariffs.

On the other hand, another amendment aimed at the energy field stipulates that economic operators that carry out electricity and natural gas distribution/transportation activities and are regulated by the National Energy Regulatory Authority will be exempted from paying turnover tax.
