Lenny Kravitz comes to UNTOLD 2024

Lenny Kravitz, the only artist with 4 consecutive Grammy awards in the “Best Male Rock Vocal Performance” category, will arrive this summer on the main stage of one of the biggest music festivals in the world, UNTOLD in Cluj-Napoca. Recently, Kravitz received a star on the famous “Hollywood Walk of Fame” boulevard, and his daughter Zoe Kravitz’s speech went around the world.

Fans of the festival, but also of the artist of American origin, will listen to live hits such as “Let Love Rule”, “It Ain’t Over ’til It’s Over”, “Are You Gonna Go My Way”, “Fly Away”, “American Woman ” or “Again”, but also songs from the newest album “Blue Electric Light”, which will be released on May 24.

Considered one of the most important rock artists of our time, Lenny Kravitz is not only a versatile artist, he is a brilliant musician, renowned for his exceptional skills in rock, funk and soul music. With an eclectic mix of rock, retro and pop influences, he has managed to redefine the music landscape since the 90s and become an iconic presence in the music industry.

In recent years, Lenny Kravitz has constantly reinvented and redefined his sound and artistic image. From classic rock influences to funk and soul experiments, he has demonstrated a remarkable ability to adapt to change. “Are You Gonna Go My Way” earned Kravitz a BRIT Award for “Best International Male Artist” and an MTV Video Music Award for “Best Male Video”. During the awards gala, Lenny Kravitz took the stage with John Paul Jones from Led Zeppelin; it was a memorable duo!

The single “Fly Away” brought him his first Grammy award. With the cover version of “American Woman”, included in the soundtrack of the movie “Austin Powers: The Spy Who Shagged Me”, he won his second Grammy in the “Best Male Rock Vocal Performance” category.

In 2000, Kravitz releases the album “Greatest Hits” considered the most successful album of that decade. He is the only artist who managed to win four consecutive Grammys, from 1999 to 2002 in the “Best Male Rock Vocal Performance” category, he has American Music Awards, MTV Video Music Awards, Radio Music Awards, Brit Awards and Blockbuster awards in his records Entertainment Awards.

He also featured in box-office films, “The Hunger Games” and “The Hunger Games: Catching Fire”, “Precious” or “The Butler” and was rewarded by the CFDA, in 2022, with the “Fashion Icon Award”, also being considered an influential fashion personality. In February, he received the Music Icon Award trophy at the People’s Choice Awards.

He entered the “100 Greatest Artists of Hard Rock” list, and the albums released so far, 11 in number, have sold more than 40 million copies worldwide. Lenny Kravitz’s 12th album, Blue Electric Light, will be released on May 24, 2024.

Kravitz remains one of the most respected artists of our time, with a remarkable career that has influenced and inspired generations of musicians, and was included in the list of great artists nominated for induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame this year.

UNTOLD will open its doors to its magical universe from August 8-11 to hundreds of thousands of fans around the world.

The Galaxy stage will be a real phenomenon thanks to the most well-known DJs in the techno genre, confirmed for the 9th edition of the UNTOLD festival: Carl Cox, Solomun and FISHER.
