A 40-year-old man from Iasi, diagnosed with influenza, has died, with the flu death toll thus climbing to four in this season.
The total number of respiratory infections nationwide during the past week was 79, 459, 3.6% less though compared to the figures reported the same week last year.
The 40yo man who died in Iasi was not vaccinated against flu and had other pre-existing medical problems.
Since the season start until January 21, 89 flu case have been confirmed, most of them in Bucharest and Constanta.
So far this year, 771,573 people were vaccinated against flu.
