The Israeli hostage with Romanian origins, for whom his wife had asked for help, confirmed dead

The family of the Israeli hostage Tal Haimi, who also had Romanian citizenship, and the Nir Yitzhak kibbutz, where he lived, announced in a joint statement on Wednesday evening that the authorities told the family that he was killed on October 7 by Hamas terrorists, reports The Times of Israel.

His wife, Ella Haimi, came to Romania at the end of October and met with various officials, including Nicolae Ciucă, the president of the Senate, to ask for help from the Romanian authorities to support the efforts to release the hostages taken to Gaza.
The Embassy of Israel in Romania conveyed, on Wednesday evening, that it is “deeply saddened” by the news confirming the death of Tal Haimi, the Israeli with Romanian citizenship, kidnapped by Hamas on October 7.
“Tal’s wife, Ella Haimi, came to Bucharest at the end of October to ask for Romania’s support in order to step up efforts to release the hostages. In this trying time, we send our thoughts of compassion and support to the bereaved family. Ella, we are with you and the relatives of all those barbarically killed by Hamas terrorists! May their memory be blessed!”, states a message posted on the Facebook page of the Embassy of Israel in Romania.
