Omniasig, on upward trend: increase of almost 20 pc of gross written premiums in Q3

Omniasig Vienna Insurance Group (VIG) reports a total gross written premium value of RON 694.31 million, which represents an increase of 19.47 percent compared with the same period last year, a press release informs.

The profit during this period reached to RON 9.57 million, according to IFRS standards.

“We are glad that, on the occasion of the 20 years anniversary in 2015, our company has joined a determinant upward trend. (…) We will move forward with the same strategy based on prudent risk underwriting on all product lines, coupled with permanent and prompt response to our customers’ specific needs. Our goal remains the support and the development of non – motor product lines,” Mihai Tecau, President of the Managing Board of Omniasig VIG stated.

The Property insurances line (Fire and Allied Perils) registered, in the first nine months of the year, a gross written premiums’ value of RON 134.91 million, an amount almost equal to that of the same period of 2014.
During the same period, the Health insurances line registered a gross written premiums growth of 30.07 percent, reaching a total value of RON 4.04 million. Motor Insurance registered revenues of RON 481.64 million, up by 26.43 percent.

Important results were also registered by accidents and illness insurance segment: gross written premiums – RON 6.36 million; aircraft insurance segment: gross written premiums – RON 6.13 million; general third party liability insurance segment: gross written premiums – RON 23.06 million; travel insurance segment: gross written premiums – RON 4.86 million.

In another context, starting August 2015 Omniasig implemented a system for measuring and evaluating the quality of customer services – the Net Promoter Score (NPS), an internationally validated standard. In the first three months from the system’s implementation, the NPS general indicator was 72.96 percent, of which 72.37 percent for Motor Hull and 76.94 percent for household insurances, according to the answers provided by insures.
