PM Viorica Dancila meets Netherlands Ambassador, Stella Ronner-Grubacic, talks focus on CVM, bilateral relations

Prime Minister Viorica Dăncilă has met on Monday, at Victoria Palace, Stella Ronner-Grubacic, the Ambassador of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Romania, on a courtesy visit, in the context of discussing ‘issues related to the lifting of CVM’, a Government release informs.

The main topic of the discussion was related to the bilateral relation between Romania and the Netherlands.

“On this occasion, the commitment of the both parties has been reconfirmed to consolidate the bilateral relations, with stress laid on the relaunching of the political dialogue, on economic and sectoral development, the source reads.

PM Dancila has expressed satisfaction on the fact that the Netherlands ranks first on terms on investments in Romania, with an invested capital of EUR 9 billion.

The importance of stimulating economic exchanges was stressed, in view of reducing Romania’s economic deficit.

The meeting also occasioned an exchange of views on current European topics, with stress on the joint will to deepen the cooperation, in view of Romania’s presidency of the European Council in the first half of 2019.

“The Romanian Prime Minister has provided assurances that our country will act as a dynamic and constructive partner, based on a unitary, pro-European approach, supported by the Romanian authorities on the whole and by the citizens. In terms of the enlargement of the Schengen area, the Romanian official has reiterated the arguments on the Romanian side on supporting a favourable decision for Romania’s accession to the Schengen space,” the release reads.
