On Thursday Telekom Romania announced the artists’ line-up for Telekom Electronic Beats Festival, a two-day urban music festival to take place in Bucharest on October 2-3.

International artists such as Actress, Brandt Brauer Frick with Beaver, DJ Hell, Francesca Lombardo, Hudson Mohawke, Max Graef & Kickflip Mike, Tanya & Josa, Ten Fé, Totally Enormous Extinct Dinosaurs (TEED) and WEVAL will perform in four different locations in Bucharest during the two-day festival, along with Romanian artists DJ Alexandra, DJ Miss I, DJ Monty Clunk and Nipple’s Delight.

Besides electronic music events and DJ sessions performed by international and Romanian artists, the festival also includes a contest for local DJs, in collaboration with Native Instruments, the developer of TRAKTOR DJ software and the leading manufacturer of software and hardware for computer-based music production and DJ-ing.

The local DJ contest will take place between August 20-September 23 and addresses the Romanian DJ community. Participants can submit their applications (DJ sets hosted on SoundCloud, MixCloud or comparable services) from September 20 onward via the Electronic Beats Festival’s Facebook event.

The top 15 most liked posts in the EB Festival Bucharest Facebook event will be shortlisted. A panel made up of music critics and event organizers will rate each entry based on technical skills, overall mood, creativity and track selection. The genres considered will be Deep House, Tech House, Minimal, Techno and similar ones. The winners will be chosen by September 25, 2015 and announced via EB.net and the Electronic Beats Facebook page. Entrants must be at least 18 years old.

The big winner will be able to mix in the opening sessions of the festival and will receive Native Instruments equipment worth 1,600 Euros.

Also, in order to strengthen the local music community, Telekom and Native Instruments will host Native Sessions – a live learning experience for aspiring electronic music producers and DJs within the festival, on October 3rd, at Control Club.

Established in 2000, Electronic Beats is the international music program of Deutsche Telekom and features a broad and innovative media portfolio, including live events across Europe. This year, Telekom announces a completely new series of events called “Electronic Beats Festivals”, as part of Deutsche Telekom’s international music program. Bucharest is one of the very first cities where this unique musical experience will take place.
